NYS Bottle Drive

NYS hosted a bottle drive on Sunday, March 30, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM to support the Peace Arch Hospital Foundation. Participants donated empty bottles and cans by leaving them at the curb by 10:00 AM or dropping them off at a Return-it Express site with pre-printed labels. Accepted items included aluminum cans, plastic bottles, liquor bottles, and beer cans or bottles. Donors used clear bags and limited glass bottles to 12 per bag.

NYS Annual Conference

On December 18, 2024, NYS celebrated its 2024 achievements with its Annual Conference, starting with a $2,000 donation to the Peace Arch Hospital Foundation for its production kitchen project. President Solenn Sun highlighted the year’s accomplishments, while the Foundation recognized volunteers with certificates. The event concluded with volunteers creating 100 Christmas cards for local seniors, showcasing NYS's dedication to community service and connection.

NYS Christmas Jazz Concert at Peace Arch Senior Village

On December 23, 2024, NYS hosted its annual Christmas Jazz Concert at Peace Portal Senior Village, bringing holiday cheer to senior residents. Featuring talented musicians performing holiday classics and jazz standards, the event created a lively, festive atmosphere where residents enjoyed live music and socialized. Organized by NYS volunteers, the concert was part of the organization’s efforts to support and connect with local communities during the holidays. The event highlighted the power of music to foster joy and connection, leaving attendees with smiles and warm holiday memories.

Charity Flea Market Supporting Peace Arch Hospital Foundation

On November 9, 2024, NYS and EcoNStyle hosted a Charity Flea Market at the South Surrey Community Centre, raising over $1,000 for the Peace Arch Foundation. With 20+ vendors, live music, and nearly 500 attendees, the event promoted sustainable living and community collaboration while supporting local businesses.

NYS volunteers joined the Peach Arch Hospital 70th Birthday Celebration on Aug 25th. They had a DIY tie-dye stand to help raise fund for the 10 million goal for Medical Imaging at Peace Arch Hospital!

DIY Tie-Dye Fundraiser

NYS Volunteers hosted a DIY Tie-Dye fundraiser to benefit Peace Arch Hospital Foundation at Crescent Beach on July 1 2024. 

On June 28 2024, NYS Volunteers worked at TEDx-Grandview Heights at Surrey Arts Centre.

NYS provided volunteer service to an urban planning workshop on May 26, 2024 at Semiahmoo Library. Our volunteers are busy preparing hand-made candles, home-grown vegetable and bakery for our Green Home Gift Pack Sale at the event!

In April 2022, NYS organized a donut fundraiser for Richmond Hospital Foundation.


12 volunteers, 180 donuts sold within the two days, 200 dollars profits for donation, and numerous commendations...

Christmas Cards For Seniors 2021
